VERMONT FARM SHOW

June 2025 Update

At its May 2024 meeting, the Vermont Farm Show's Board of Trustees gave authority to the Executive Committee to be the “Re-visioning and Re-structuring Team”. This “team” worked with Momentum Communication to conduct a statewide, stakeholder engagement process to learn what Vermont wants in a future Farm Show.

Thank you for your involvement in our revisioning process and for your enthusiasm for the Show, its history, and more importantly, its future. Because of you and the perspectives you offered - the Vermont Farm Show Board voted at its Annual Meeting in May 2025 to keep the Vermont Farm Show organization in existence!

This is EXCITING news and the Board is energized to do the foundation building work needed to bring a Farm Show back to Vermont. Our goals are many but the most important is to have the Show return in 2027.

What will we be up to between now and then?  A LOT of organizational development... that sounds pretty dry but it is essential to build the supports that can ensure future shows that are successful.

Some of our tasks in the near-term include:
  • exploring a change in our tax-status so that we can access more diverse streams of income
  • building a network of partners who will help us delivery the Show that we've learned Vermont wants - a Show that represents all of Vermont agriculture and our working landscape, as well as one that will serve the future by providing education and youth engagement opportunities
  • defining how the Board works and grows - identifying skills we need and inviting others to join in the work of rebuilding the organization and the Show
These are just a few of the items we are advancing as the Vermont Farm Show Board designs its work plan - steps that will lead us to the return of the Vermont Farm Show. We look forward to keeping you informed, to working with you, and to seeing you at the next Farm Show.

Keep watch for more updates as we advance toward that goal.
