Did you know… Since the 1970’s the Vermont Farm Show had been classified by its federal tax-status as an organization designed to serve labor unions, agricultural associations, etc. with an aim to improve members' working conditions, product quality, and efficiency. The organization sought to meet that purpose by providing an annual tradeshow and space for producer associations to hold their annual meetings.
As of this spring, the above described organization has dissolved and a new organization established, one with a pending federal tax-status change and an aim deeply committed to agricultural education. The new Vermont Farm Show Foundation (aka Vermont Farm Show) is focused on serving youth, farmers, aspiring farmers, and the public. We believe education and the engagement of youth, farmers, and the public will serve both the future and betterment of agriculture in Vermont.
Our flagship program - the Vermont Farm Show event - will return in 2027. This multi-day event will highlight our increased focus on educational opportunities through interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, workshops, and more. Equally important to us is increasing visibility for the variety of agricultural products generated in our state. Vermont Farm Show event attendees will have ample opportunities to taste, touch, and purchase some of our state’s finest farm products.
